Is Charlie Sheen Still #Winning?

At the time of our last post on Celebrities and Social Media: The Wizards Behind the Curtain, Charlie Sheen did not have a website (http://www.charliesheen.com) nor did he have 3 million + Twitter followers, a valid Facebook page (with 1 million + fans) or his own Violent Torpedo of Truth road show.

WOW! “What a Difference a Day Makes” as the song goes…

March was a social media maelstrom for Charlie Sheen and the wizard behind his curtain was a company by the name of Ad.ly. Ad.ly is a Los Angeles based firm that runs celebrity endorsements in social media. They have over 1,000 celebrities and 150 major brands and have worked on over 24,000 campaigns.  Charlie Sheen’s campaign was a major success and will certainly go down in social media history and help redefine the new PR model where celebrities control their own PR, not like Hollywood’s Golden Age where the studios once controlled the PR of a celebrity.

Sorry James Franco… Social Media is far from “over.”

So what do you think, is Charlie Sheen still #winning? We would like to know.
